According to the ADL, they stated, \u201cWe monitored accounts on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and YouTube operated by candidates, political media personalities, and news outlets between October 18 and November 18, 2022. We reported false and misleading non-advertising content to these platforms, and recorded examples of platforms either taking action or declining to do so.\u201d With the influence of social media and digital platforms, it is evident that their influence spreads awareness in political activities, but also spreads misinformation that leads to wrong decisions made by the people. This especially applies for the presidential elections, where misguided votes could be placed and ultimately result in an unwanted leader. <\/p>\n
